The Therapeutic Relationship
Through our therapeutic relationship we will explore your presenting issue(s), root causes and challenges and develop a plan that promotes wellness for you to move forward. Through reflective discussion, an empathic and unbiased presence, I will assist you in uncovering core beliefs that may be preventing you from reaching your interpersonal, career, relationship, or self- actualization goals. Together we can work on accessing emotions, identifying internal strengths, finding healthier coping strategies, such as mindfulness skills, in order to better respond to stress and manage negative feelings or experiences. In order to get to the root of the matter and produce long-lasting changes, I address issues in their systems, not in isolation because the presenting problem is often is a result of larger systems. Intuitively and strategically, I use a wide variety of interventions to create space for change to occur.
The first 2-3 sessions will be set up for us to get to know each other more formally. Most clients report feeling symptom relief after 8-10 sessions.
